Privacy Policy

This policy explains what AsukaDev processes when you visit the Asuka Designer website, use the customer portal, or install an Asuka Designer commerce integration. Last updated: August 1, 2026.

Who controls your data

AsukaDev operates Asuka Designer and its related services. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to privacy@asukadev.com.

Data we process

We collect only the information required to deliver, secure, bill, and support the service.

• Account, subscription, invoice, and licensed-site information supplied through the customer portal.
• Technical logs such as IP address, browser information, request time, and security events.
• Shop identifiers, product configuration, order references, design state, preview files, and pricing metadata required by a connected commerce integration.
• Support messages and attachments that you choose to send.
• The Shopify application does not retain customer email addresses in its application database. Customer contact details remain in Shopify.

Why we use it

Data is processed to perform the service contract, protect the platform, meet legal obligations, and improve reliability.

• Operate the designer, licensing, billing, exports, and production workflow.
• Authenticate installations and enforce plan limits.
• Prevent abuse, diagnose incidents, and answer support requests.
• Comply with accounting, tax, privacy, and platform obligations.

Storage and retention

Production systems use encrypted transport and access-controlled infrastructure. Sensitive Shopify order snapshots and privacy reports are encrypted at application level.

• Shopify customization records and saved design sessions are retained for up to 365 days by default.
• Webhook audit metadata is retained for up to 90 days.
• Generated privacy reports are removed after 30 days.
• Shop data is deleted when Shopify sends the mandatory shop-redaction request.
• Billing records may be retained longer where accounting or tax law requires it.

Processors and transfers

We use service providers only where they are needed to host, secure, bill, communicate, or operate the product.

• Shopify processes commerce and Shopify App Store billing data under its own terms.
• Stripe may process direct portal payments for non-Shopify products.
• Infrastructure and email providers process data under contractual and security controls.
• Where data leaves the European Economic Area, appropriate contractual or legal safeguards are used.

Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to certain processing.

• Shopify customer-data requests are handled through Shopify mandatory privacy webhooks.
• You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

Cookies and updates

Essential cookies keep sessions, security, and checkout working. Optional analytics or marketing cookies are used only when configured and permitted. We may update this policy when the service or legal requirements change.
